Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This page explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you visit https://easlyfinance.com. We keep the Site simple on purpose: a loan calculator that runs in your browser, a guide that explains the math, and a few pages about how we operate. If anything here feels unclear, email us before you keep using the Site.

1. Who runs this site

Easly Finance publishes free educational tools so people can sketch a monthly loan payment before they talk to a lender. We do not ask you to create an account. We do not sell loans. Privacy questions go to info@easlyfinance.com.

By continuing to use the Site, you accept this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please leave the Site. That sounds blunt, but it is the honest line: privacy rules only work when visitors know what they are agreeing to.

2. What happens when you use the loan calculator

The calculator is built so the heavy lifting stays on your device. When you type a loan amount, rate, or term, your browser does the math locally. Those figures are not shipped to our servers just to produce the on-screen estimate. We also do not use calculator fields to build a credit file, income profile, or marketing list about you.

Sometimes people email us because a number looks wrong. If you voluntarily paste the inputs you used, we will look at them only to troubleshoot and reply. Please skip Social Security numbers, full account numbers, passwords, photos of ID cards, and anything else you would not want sitting in an inbox.

3. Technical information collected in the background

Almost every website leaves a light technical trail. Our host and related infrastructure may record details such as:

  • IP address and a rough location inferred from it
  • Browser, device type, and operating system
  • Date and time of the request
  • Pages you open and, when available, the site that referred you
  • Basic error or performance logs that help keep pages loading

We use that information to keep the Site online, catch abuse, and notice when something breaks. We do not package server logs and sell them as a product. If a log helps us fix an outage or block harmful traffic, that is the purpose.

4. Messages you send us

Email is voluntary. When you write to us, we receive your address, the body of the message, and any files you attach. We read those messages to answer questions, correct mistakes, or keep a short record of the conversation when that is reasonable for business or legal reasons. We are not a customer-support desk for lenders, and we will not ask for documents that belong in a loan application.

5. Cookies and similar tools

The Site may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies. Some are essential—pages need them to load and remember basic preferences. Others may support measurement or advertising when ads are turned on. Advertising partners can set their own cookies under their own policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. That might change how ads appear, but it should not stop the calculator from doing math on your device. If a setting ever interferes with a page, try a different browser or a private window and tell us what you saw.

6. Advertising partners

When the Site shows ads, we may work with advertising networks and demand partners listed in our ads.txt file (for example RevBid and its resellers). Those partners may receive or collect technical signals such as IP address, device and browser data, cookie IDs, page URL, and approximate location so they can deliver and measure ads.

One line matters a lot to us: advertisers do not get the loan amounts, rates, or terms you type into the calculator. Third parties still have their own privacy policies—read them if you care how their networks work. Depending on where you live, industry opt-out tools or device settings may give you more control over interest-based ads.

7. How we use information

In practice, the information described above helps us:

  • Run, maintain, and secure the Site
  • Reply when you contact us
  • Understand aggregate traffic so we can improve clarity and performance
  • Show advertising when the Site is monetized
  • Follow the law, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect people from abuse

8. When we share information

We may share information with:

  • Hosting, CDN, email, and security providers that process data for us
  • Advertising and measurement partners when ads are enabled
  • Professional advisors when a legal or accounting issue requires it
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it or safety is at stake
  • A buyer or successor if the Site itself is transferred

We do not sell calculator inputs. We do not knowingly sell children’s personal information. If a vendor only needs access to keep the lights on, that is the limit of the access we intend to grant.

9. How long we keep things

Hosting logs usually stick around for a short operational window—sometimes days, sometimes months—unless security or legal needs stretch that window. Email threads stay as long as we reasonably need them to finish your request and keep ordinary business records. Ad partners follow their own retention clocks, which we do not fully control.

10. Security in real terms

We use ordinary safeguards for a small educational site, including HTTPS. That is not a promise that nothing can ever go wrong. No website is perfectly sealed. Treat the Site as a public place on the internet: do not email secrets you would not want intercepted, and do not paste sensitive identity documents into a support message.

11. Children

The Site is written for adults who are thinking about personal finance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child sent us something personal, tell us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

12. Visitors outside the United States

The Site may be hosted in the United States or reached from many countries. If you visit from elsewhere, your information may be handled in places with privacy rules that differ from your own. That is a normal consequence of using a globally available website, and we want it stated clearly.

13. Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, or to object to certain processing. Send the request to info@easlyfinance.com and include enough detail for us to find the right records and verify who is asking. We may decline requests that are abusive, repetitive, or not required by applicable law.

14. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. The “Last updated” date moves with those edits. If you keep using the Site after a change, the new policy applies. For bigger shifts, we may also post a short notice on the Site when that is practical.

15. How to reach us
