Terms of Use

Last updated: November 1, 2026

These Terms of Use set the ground rules for Easly Finance at https://easlyfinance.com. They work together with our Privacy Policy. If you open the Site, you are agreeing to both. If you cannot agree, please do not use the Site—there is no soft middle option that keeps the rules optional.

1. Who these Terms are for

You may use the Site if you can enter a binding agreement under the law that applies to you and if you follow these Terms plus every other law that covers your visit. The pages are written for adults who want educational help estimating loan payments. You are responsible for what happens through your connection to the Site, including devices and networks you control.

Parents and guardians should supervise minors. The Site is not designed as a children’s product, and it should not be treated like one.

2. What you will find here

Easly Finance offers a browser-based loan calculator and a written guide about fixed-rate installment payments. Type in an amount, rate, and term, and the tool estimates a monthly payment, total interest, and total repayment under simplified assumptions. That output is a teaching estimate. It is not a loan offer, credit approval, interest-rate quote, or advice tailored to your household.

We may change pages, pause features, or shut parts of the Site down without a long notice period. Sites evolve. Formulas get clearer. Hosting needs shift. Continued availability of any one feature is not a permanent promise.

3. This is education, not professional advice

Nothing on the Site is financial, lending, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or other professional advice. A clean monthly payment on a screen can still miss fees, insurance add-ons, taxes rolled into principal, or underwriting rules that only a lender can apply. Do not treat our results as a green light to borrow.

Before you sign anything that creates debt, read the lender’s disclosures and talk with a qualified professional if your situation is complicated. Our Financial Disclaimer is part of these Terms and expands on the same idea in more detail.

4. How we expect people to behave

Please use the Site in a way that does not harm others or the service. That means you agree not to:

  • Break the law or use the Site to help someone else break the law
  • Flood, scrape abusively, disrupt, or try to break into our systems
  • Probe security without permission
  • Pretend to be someone else when you email us
  • Copy or resell Site materials in a way that implies we endorse a loan product we never approved in writing
  • Bombard our inbox with automated messages

If we reasonably believe these rules were ignored, we may block access. We may also act to protect the Site, other visitors, or third parties. We would rather people use the calculator thoughtfully than treat the Site like a free attack surface.

5. Ownership of the content and tool

The writing, layout, logos, calculator interface, and related materials belong to Easly Finance or to people who licensed them to us. Intellectual property law protects that work. You may browse and use the Site for personal learning. You may quote a short passage with clear attribution for commentary or review.

What you may not do without written permission is strip the Site for commercial reuse, republish large chunks as your own product, or build a competing tool by copying our interface and text wholesale. Asking first is cheaper than sorting out a dispute later.

6. Links and third-party services

You may see links to other websites. The Site may also load advertising or measurement code from partners we do not control. Their content and policies are theirs. Clicking away from Easly Finance means you are on someone else’s terms. We are not responsible for what those outside services collect or publish.

7. Accuracy, uptime, and honest limits

We try to keep the calculator and articles useful and available. Still, we do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect accuracy, or results that match every lender worksheet. Banks and credit unions use their own fee schedules and day-count methods. A difference of a few dollars—or more—can be normal.

If something looks broken, tell us. Fixing a bug helps everyone. Relying on an uncorrected glitch for a real borrowing decision does not.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LOAN CALCULATOR RESULTS WILL MATCH ANY LENDER’S QUOTE OR THAT THE CONTENT WILL FIT YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EASLY FINANCE AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR FROM RELIANCE ON ANY ESTIMATE OR ARTICLE—EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS TIED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). Some places do not allow every limitation. Where a rule cannot be waived, our liability is limited to the maximum the law still allows.

10. Indemnity

If your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights causes claims or costs, you agree to defend and hold harmless Easly Finance and its owners, operators, and contributors—including reasonable attorneys’ fees. This is standard protection for a small publisher, and it matters when someone tries to turn a free educational tool into someone else’s problem.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without leaning on conflict-of-law shortcuts that would point somewhere else—except where mandatory consumer protections in your home region say otherwise. Courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms unless a court forbids that choice.

12. Changes

We may revise these Terms. When we do, the “Last updated” date changes. Keep using the Site after an update and you accept the new version. If you disagree, stop using the Site. That is the clean exit.
